Imagistic Paintings

Imaginistic Painting is a creative practice prompting free expression of ideas and emotions that manifest during times of meditation

from the artistโ€™s soul to the canvas.

All paintings are available as 6X4 laminated altar cards.

The duality of life on earth consists of seasons, of light and shadows, and beginnings and endings. The wise woman is aware and prepares herself to be a leader through it all.

What came through at the completion of the work, was a reminder that I have a Shepherd. I am not alone. There is power in unseen love that connects us all.

The Unseen Shepherd

Tribute to Nana

As this painting came through on my canvas the image of Nana was unmistakable. Nana was my maternal grandmother. She was a war bride who sailed from London to eventually arrive in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1902. Nana left her mother and brother and the city life for a desolate dairy farm. She spent her days cooking for her family and the hired hands. Nana gave birth to my mother in the middle of nowhere, among men, except for the midwife named, Phyllis. The love and appreciation Nana had for her midwife remains carved through the generations. It was the story of how my mother, Phyllis received her name. That moment has become a lasting testament of appreciation for the nurse who undoubtedly provided comfort and assistance to a young mother who felt alone and afraid. Such great love exemplified.

What have you embraced from your family stories? How has that influenced your life?

Meditation Moon

Following the Cycles of the Moon to Find What You Need

The Farmerโ€™s Almanac-a great tool of prediction

Learning to use the energy of moon cycles assists us in planning to go with the flow of energy.

Full Moon-Time of friction, more intense emotional energy, increase in intuition, becoming more aware. Time to charge crystals in the moonlight.

A waning moon- a time to rest, surrender, soften (shadow seen on the right, after the full moon to the new moon). Time to declutter, renew, reevaluate.

New Moon-at its darkest. introspection, new beginnings, let go release

Waxing moon- time to work (bright on the right-a new moon to a full moon), a time to be alert, take action, time of motivation, magic phase for new ideas, overcoming, and breakthroughs

Imaginistic Painting Experience at The Croneโ€™s Nest

Upwards of 75% of all caregivers are female and may spend as much as 50% more time providing care than males.

(Source: Institute on Aging)

Women in our society make up the majority of those caring for someone other than themselves. Because of her innate instinct to love and care for others in every cycle of life (maiden, mother, crone) she is at risk for burnout.

As a seasoned crone with an extensive background in assisting caregivers through their journey of exhaustion, self-doubt, and discouragement, I have seen the ravages when caregivers begin to spiral into depression and stress-related illness.

Imaginistc painting is a tool I have discovered to bring caregivers the opportunity to experience the still, small voice of God/Spirit/Source. By tapping into the loving flow of energy from within, we can renew our love for self and others.

Imaginistic painting sessions are a safe space (container) created for the expressed purpose of going within through invocation, ritual, visualization, and meditation, without judgment or expectations, just openness to receive.

All sessions are based on the concept of light and shadows. Both are needed and valuable in art as in life.

No experience required.
